Assistive Mice
Assistive technology is designed to assist people with disabilities overcome their functional problems. Limitations caused by injury or disease may affect the individual's ability to operate standard computer input or output devices. In particular, the mouse presents a significant barrier to people who have muscle weakness, limited range of motion of their arm or hand, coordination difficultes, tremor, and missing digits. Assistive mice may enable individuals with these types of hand/arm disabilities to work on computers where otherwise the standard mouse was a barrier.
